Back in January, we wrote about how our Operations Specialist, Oliver Smart, regularly donates blood and platelets at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Contronics’ General Manager, Paul Flood is another regular blood donor, donating at his local community donor venue.

Paul said: “Donating blood takes very little time and is painless. After your blood has been taken, you usually receive a hot drink and a delicious chocolate biscuit as a thank you and to perk you up. Albeit a tasty treat, that’s not the best part! Once your blood has been distributed to a hospital, you’ll receive a text message to say which hospital has received it. Getting that text message and knowing where your blood has gone to is a reminder that you are playing a part in something much bigger and helping save lives”.
